Become a Volunteer Leader

Why lead?

Volunteering with the Lëtzebuerger Guiden a Scouten is more than helping out — it’s an adventure in itself.
As a leader, you:

Inspire young people and guide them as they discover their strengths.

Shape the future by passing on values of respect, responsibility, and solidarity.

Grow yourself — developing leadership, teamwork, and problem-solving skills you’ll use for life.

Live the scout motto: “Always Prepared” — ready to serve, support, and create a better world.

Leadership with LGS is not only rewarding, it’s recognised. Through our training program, you’ll gain valuable competences in education, group leadership, and project management.

Training is organised by LGS and adapted to each age section (Biber, Wëllefcher, AvEx, CaraPio, RaRo).

Courses are officially recognised by the Service National de la Jeunesse (SNJ) of MENJE, with Brevets for Assistant, Leader, and Group Leader.

These Brevets are valuable qualifications, both within scouting and in your professional or academic life.

Whether you are:

  • a guide or scout (16+) ready to take the next step,

  • a former guide or scout wanting to reconnect, or

  • completely new to scouting but curious to make a difference —

… there’s a place for you in LGS.

Scouting has always been about building a better world.
By becoming a leader, you join a global movement of over 60 million Guides and Scouts who believe in education, friendship, and action for a sustainable and peaceful future.

💬 “For me, for you, for us, for everyone” — together we create experiences that last a lifetime.
